The Kettle Metadata Repository project involves several different open source projects and combines them into a world-class data dictionary application. The goal is to provide the tools needed to poll database schema, test data quality, and store business logic all in one place. The applications used in the development of KMR are:
Pentaho Kettle (Sourceforge) – ETL application that can connect to and poll databases
Symfony PHP Framework (Symfony Project) – Framework used to develop web based front end.
DataCleaner (DataCleaner) – Data Quality tool
